Marilyn Mae Ely

Marilyn M. Ely (Carns), 92, of Vicksburg, passed away on January 12, 2023. Marilyn was born on February 26, 1930 in Allegan, MI the daughter of the late James LeRoy (Roy) and Bertha (Wilson) Carns. She graduated from Bronson School of Nursing in 1951.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband Thomas of 64 years. She is survived by her 4 children: Carol (Tom) Johnston, Tom Ely, Beth (Pete) Dever, Lisa (Denny) Ritchie; 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; sister: Irene Waanders; brother: Sidney (Mary Ann) Carns and several nieces and nephews.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial contributions may be directed to a charity of the donor’s choice. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 30 from 1-4 PM at RJ's Sports Bar and Grill, 8118 Portage Road, Portage, MI 49002.
