Marion L. Wilkins

Marion L. Wilkins, age 81, of Vicksburg, Michigan, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 22, 2022.  Marion was the daughter of Lester and Helen Sheppard of Bay City, Michigan. 

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Chapman Memorial Church of the Nazarene, 7520 E U Ave, Vicksburg, Michigan 49097.

Marion is survived by her husband of nearly 58 years, Rev. Donald Wilkins; children: Michael (Lynn) Czap, Jennifer (Robert) McNab, Christina (Daniel) Ray, John Wilkins, and Frederick (Crystal) Wilkins; sixteen grandchildren:  Justin, Ryan, Matthew, Josilee, Andrew, Juliana, Katie, Aaron, Preston, Jennica, Nathan, Jadelyn, Kearstin, Trenton, Brycen and Benjamin; four great grandchildren: Ashton, Carter, Connor and Carissa; her brothers: Norman Sheppard, Charles Sheppard and Richard Sheppard. In addition, Marion was a mom to many through foster care and home day care.  She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her brother, Howard Sheppard.

Marion had a deep, personal faith in Jesus Christ that influenced all that she did.  In addition to being a wife, raising her own family, and serving as a pastor’s wife in Michigan, Illinois and Indiana, she and her husband served as foster parents for almost 50 years.
