Mark Lewis Ver Sluis

Mark Lewis Ver Sluis, age 75, of Kalamazoo, Michigan, passed away on May 8, 2026. He was born on August 26, 1950, in Kalamazoo, the son of Arthur and Dorothea (Right) Ver Sluis.

Mark attended Kalamazoo Christian High School before continuing his education at Kalamazoo College, where he earned his bachelor's degree. He later worked alongside his father at Ver Sluis Celery Company as a wholesaler.

As a young man, Mark treasured summers spent at the family cottage on Pine Lake, creating memories that remained close to his heart throughout his life. He enjoyed staying active and spending time with others through sports, especially volleyball. In his younger years, he also played softball with his church team.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Jeff Ver Sluis.

Left to cherish his memory is his brother, Timothy Ver Sluis.
