Mary M. Crouch passed away with family by her side on June 10, 2026, at the age of 67. She was born on November 6, 1958, in Plainwell, Michigan, to William and Shirley (Pearson) Hileski. Mary was the fourth oldest of nine children.

Mary grew up in Plainwell and graduated from Plainwell High School in 1977. After graduating, she began working. She worked several jobs including one for MDOT. She eventually landed at General Motors where she worked for 25 years before retiring.

During this time, she met a young man named Dan through a mutual friend. They were both outdoor enthusiasts. They dated for quite a while before Dan asked her to marry him. They loved to travel, camp and go to concerts. It wasn’t long before they began a family with their daughter Monica followed by a son, Charles. They remained in Plainwell living in the family home.

Mary was known for her unyielding love for her family and her church. She was a bright, happy soul who always had a smile. She never had a bad word for anyone. She would always make you laugh with her stories and jokes. Her laugh was the loudest in the room.

Mary’s passions and hobbies included art, music, Bingo and traveling with the family. She also enjoyed going to the Casino. She was a hockey mom for several years while her son Charles played. She was a devoted grandma.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 33 years, Dan; her brother Joe.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Monica Crouch; Charles (Tessa) Crouch; Her siblings: Theresa Brooks, Ann (Lyle) Webster, Bill Hileski, Arnie Hileski, Sheila (Rich) Weyrick, Jackie (Rob) Johnson and Jim (Tracy) Hileski; her grandchildren: Hunter, Emerson, Benjamin, Evelyn, Charleigh and Elana as well as her nieces, nephews and cousins whom she loved very much.
