Mary Jane Davis

Mary Jane (Comstock) Davis of Kalamazoo, MI passed away on June 8, 2026. Mary was born June 27, 1927 in Vicksburg, MI and was the daughter of Vera (Nash) and Edward Comstock. 

On September 6, 1947 she married John Gillette Davis. John preceded her in death on July 19, 1996 after 49 years of marriage. She was a lifelong resident of the Kalamazoo area. 

Survivors include her children: John (Sherry) Davis, Kathy (Terry Riegler) Davis, Craig (Maggie) Davis, Jeff (Beth) Davis and Janine (Jeff) Kennedy. Other survivors include her grandchildren: Shawn Davis, Erin Settergren, Brett (Jenny) Davis, Ryan (Alicia) Kennedy, Colin Kennedy, Ashley (Rich) Kirkpatrick, Katie (Eric) Moser and great-grandchildren: Kelly and Casey Davis, Hazel and Callum Davis, Logan Kirkpatrick, Mathieu Moser, Leonidas Kennedy and many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John, her siblings: Roscoe Comstock, Donna Baker, Betty Martin, Mildred Stanley and Clelia Dooley and her sisters-in-law Lillian Maxwell, Patsy Roth and Peggy Tenney. 

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to can make donations to the First United Methodist Church of Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo Gospel Ministries or the Kalamazoo Nature Center in memory of Mary.
