Maureen Rininger

Maureen Rininger, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away February 9, 2024, at the age of 68. She was born on December 23, 1955, in Plainwell, Michigan to her loving parents, Morris and Betty Scott.

Cherishing Maureen’s memory are those who survive her: Her beloved husband, David Rininger; her children Lindsey Pompileo and Andre Arguijo; her son-in-law, Chris Pompileo, grandchildren Gage and Luca Pompileo; three stepsons; five grandchildren by marriage; and six great-grandchildren by marriage. She was preceded in death by her brother Kenneth Scott and survived by her sister Kathy Morris.

Maureen had an impressive career at the state of Michigan from the age of 17 until she was fortunate enough to retire. Her coworkers remember her as loving, supportive, and a joy to work with. When you work with others for as long as she did, it is easy to become a family.

After retirement, Maureen, enjoyed time spent at home, her amazing grandchildren, and when she could she loved traveling to northern Michigan, where she enjoyed spending time with her friends and taking in the beauty that northern Michigan has to offer.

Maureen's absence will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved her. She leaves behind cherished memories and beauty in the hearts of all that knew her. We are grateful for the love that she leaves behind in all of us.

A Celebration of Life will be held on April 7, 2024, at Mezzo Coffee House in Otsego, Michigan (100 W Allegan St.). The event will begin at 12:00 PM and conclude at 3:00 PM, providing an opportunity for friends and loved ones to come together and honor the life of this amazing woman.

Maureen Rininger's journey may have come to an end, but her memory will continue to live through all who loved her. As we remember her with love and gratitude, let us also find solace in knowing that she lived a life filled with love, joy, and beauty.
