Melvin Lloyd Meyle

Mel Meyle of Portage passed away peacefully on January 8, 2015. He was born July 5, 1918, in Oshtemo Township. He was a veteran of WWII. On February 16, 1940, he married Midge Matteson, who survives. He retired from the Upjohn Co. after 35 years. Mel was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Surviving are his three daughters: Judy (Chuck) Moden; Connie (Mike) Lyons; and Jan (Doug) Murray; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his son, David (Geri) Meyle, and his five brothers. A private service will be held at a later date.
