Merrillie A. Meeuwse, age 86, went to be with her Lord on January 7, 2026. Merrillie was born on February 3, 1939, in Otsego Michigan to Elvin and Wilma (Northrup) Roberts. Merrillie was the third born of four children: Vern, Lew, Merrillie and Mina Mae. Merrillie grew up in Otsego and graduated from Otsego High School in 1958. After high school, Merrillie attended classes at Grand Rapids School of Bible and Music and then Davenport College.

In 1995 she married Anthony “Tony” Meeuwse. Unfortunately, Tony passed away in 2012. Merrillie was a member of the Oak Grove Bible Church. She loved quilting, reading, watching wildlife and growing flowers.

Merrillie was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her siblings: Vern Roberts and Mina Mae (Roberts) Guidebeck. She is lovingly remembered by her brother Lew (Pat) Roberts; her sister-in-law Eleanor Roberts as well as nieces, nephews and stepchildren.

Following her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 12 at 11:00 a.m. at the Oak Grove Bible Church; 7655 Ravine Rd. Kalamazoo, MI 49009.
