Myrna Jacobsen

Myrna, a loving mother and grandmother, 84, of Plainwell, Michigan, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2025 at Borgess Hospital surrounded by her family. Myrna was born on September 7, 1940 in South Haven, Michigan to Everett and Jennie Johnson (Lahndorf). She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, her family will forever cherish her love and support.

Myrna was known for her love of antiques and books. She was a dental assistant for doctor Kilgore for over 20 years. Myrna made a lasting impact on the lives of those around her.


Myrna is survived by her daughter Stacee Mattimore, four grandchildren: Benjamin Mattimore, Molly (Mason) Monroe, Casey (Terika) Mattimore, and Monica Mattimore; great-grandchildren: Cohen Hayes and Cooper Eugene as well as brothers Andrew (Darlene) Johnson and William (Nancy) Johnson.

She was proceeded in death by her husband of 60 years Marvin Jacobsen, her parents Everett and Jennie Johnson.


Following her wishes, cremation has taken place.  A memorial service will be held 11 AM, Saturday, June 28, 2025 at the Otsego United Methodist Church with a luncheon immediately following at the church.
