BIGLER, Nancie A. Age 72 Portage Died on Oct. 11, 2010 in Kalamazoo. Nancie was born Oct. 1, 1938 in Kalamazoo to Irving and Clara (Woodruff) Milham. She graduated from Kalamazoo Central HS in 1958 and attended WMU. After college she moved to Denver, CO and there met her husband, Lewis Bigler. They married in Oct. of 1964 and she moved with him throughout his military career. Before and after her children were born Nancie was employed in the retail business. She also volunteered at the Portage District Library. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son Brent. She is survived by her husband of 46 years and a daughter, Ragan (Jon) Van Dore and their two children, Quentin and Piper of St. Joseph, Mi Also surviving is a sister, Carole Wright of Portage and several nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation or funeral. Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will be held at Fort Custer National Cemetery. A celebration of Nancie's life will take place at a later date. Memorial gifts may be made to Hospice Care of SW Michigan or Loaves and Fishes.
