Nancy Carol Kissinger of Plainwell, MI, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2024, at the age of 88. She was born on October 3, 1935, to her parents Vern & Pearl (Carlisle) Anspaugh.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; her very special sister Wanda Petill and her brother Robert Anspaugh. She leaves behind cherished memories and a legacy of love.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, William “Bill” Kissinger; her children: Todd (Melissa) Kissinger, Tammy (Tony) Rickli; four grandchildren: Ashley Kissinger, Amber Baldwin, Ashley De Vries and Casey Rickli; five great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
Nancy found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was especially fond of the bond she had with her great grandson Gage. Nancy loved to travel across the country in their motor home. She enjoyed sewing and made many clothes for her family throughout her life, especially for her sister Wanda. When at home, she enjoyed watching the hummingbirds. Nancy also loved decorating for the holidays and filled her house with decorative snowmen each Christmas.
A funeral service to honor Nancy's life will be held on Tuesday, February 20 at 11:30 a.m. at the Avink, McCowen & Secord Funeral Home, 120 S. Woodhams St. in Plainwell. 269-685-5881. Visit with family and friends from 11:00 to 11:30 at the same location.
