Patricia Helene Dorothy

DOROTHY, Patricia H. (Kuplicki) Kalamazoo Passed away on Dec. 13, 2010 at age 80. She was born Sept. 18, 1930 in Hamtramck, MI to Henry and Susan Kuplicki. Her family moved to Flowerfield, MI in 1943 where she attended and graduated from the one-room schoolhouse. She then went on to, and graduated from Three Rivers High School. Patricia worked along side her father at Bowers Lighter, Co. of Kalamazoo. She then pursued a career in sales at Montgomery Ward, in the appliance department. It is there she found her calling in sales eventually selling ads for the Journal Weekly Advertiser. Patricia met her future husband, Lawrence Dorothy,at the Journal. Together they found a new interest in owning and managing properties, which they did for several years.In her spare time Pat enjoyed archeology and gardening. Pat was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence. She is survived by her sister, Henrietta Borton and brother, Eugene Kuplicki, 2 nieces and 2 nephews. The service will be 11 AM Thursday Dec. 16. 2010, at the Avink Funeral Home in Schoolcraft, MI. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
