Patricia Schneider

 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia Ann Schneider, who left this world on August 14, 2024. She was 70 years old. Patty was born in Portage to James and Jean Smothers (Van Wyk) and they later moved to the farm in Lawrence where she returned to after living for years in Shelbyville, IN.

Family meant the world to her. She was preceded in death by her husband, George in 2013, her parents James Smothers in 2010, Jean Smothers in 1994, and her brother Russ Smothers in 2023. She is survived by children, Jason Schneider (Christina Hankins) and Jessica Schneider (Dave Price), both of Lawrence; grandsons Jimmy Phelps (Brittany Reinhart) of Roselle Il, Gage Schneider of Bangor, Wyatt Schneider, Deondra Hankins, and Andrew Schneider; all of Lawrence, a sister Sherie Middleton (Mike Middleton) of South Haven, and three stepdaughters and their families.

A celebration of Patty's life will be held at a later date. Friends and family are invited to join us as we honor her legacy. Please reach out to the family for details.
