Patrick and I became friends at Woodland Hills Elementary. I remember him as a goofy, fun-loving guy who always brought joy into everything that he did- from having to act incredibly sophisticated at the manners banquet, to guarding the goal in our never-ending games of soccer that we played at recess. Thinking of these times and all the fun we had, I cannot help but have a huge smile on my face. I think that this part of Patricks legacy: bringing joy to the lives of others. This is the Patrick that I knew and the Patrick that I never will forget.

Every since we were kids you have made an impression and impact on everyone who met you. I will forever be thankful to have been one of them. I love you TB. Thank you for always being a constant in my life and providing me with the most unconditional friendship that I will ever have the joy of experiencing. Sam, there are no words. I wish I could give you and the kids a hug. I am so sorry.

The first time we took Patrick, Samantha and the kids to our cabin and walked over to the lake. Kameryn was all ready to run into the lake and Patrick panicked because he didnt realize how clear and safe the water was. The look on his face was priceless when he reached the waters edge. He said that was the clearest water he had ever seen. Happy to be with him and share that Michigan moment. Patricks protective heart and knack for getting you to smile will be sorely missed.
