Raymond Harris

Raymond LeRoy Harris, aged 94, departed this world in Allegan, Michigan, leaving behind an enduring testament to gentle strength, quiet wisdom, and lifelong ingenuity.

For 74 years, he shared a remarkable love story with his beloved wife, Gerry-woven through decades of resilience, laughter, devotion, and unwavering partnership.

Those who knew Ray drew deep inspiration from his steadfast morals, quiet humor, genuine acts of kindness, and tireless work ethic.

As a skilled mechanic, heavy equipment operator, and inventive carpenter, Ray saw possibility in every bolt, beam, or scrap of steel-often transforming them into thoughtful sculptures that quietly adorned the world he and Gerry built together. His hands shaped more than metal; they built a home filled with warmth, and a life rich in meaning. He didn't just build things-he built trust, belonging, and comfort for those around him.

Family, friends, neighbors, and colleagues alike found in Ray a man whose life was guided not by grand gestures, but by principled choices and quiet, steadfast love.

His legacy is one of hard work, creative spirit, humility, and the rare gift of making life's burdens feel a little lighter simply by being near.

We give thanks for a man both extraordinary and approachable-a man it was not only easy to love, but a true privilege.

A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend-Ray will be forever cherished. He remains a guidepost for many on how to live with grace, purpose, and heart.

With so much love, we say "goodbye"-for now.
