Rebecca Kay VanderVeen Palmer

Becky passed at her home after a year long battle with lung cancer. She was born in Battle Creek MI and attended the Battle Creek School Systems and later volunteered as recess monitor for a number of years. 

She was married to Merle Luke Palmer for 47 years. Luke brought a daughter, Angela Jollineau, from a previous relationship and she brought a daughter, Michelle Palmer, from a previous relationship and together they had a son Matthew Palmer.

Becky worked in the restaurant business for over 20 years. She loved classic rock music and loved to dance. She enjoyed camping, fishing and exploring nature but most of all she loved her family with all her heart consisting of 7 grandchildren, Douglas Smith, Christopher Palmer, Heather Brock, Lindsey Palmer, Amber Bassett, Guinevere Meyer Palmer and Silas Palmer, and 13 great grandchildren and a brother, Gerald (Jackie) VanderVeen. She is preceded in passing by her parents Robert VanderVeen and Marjorie Perkins and 5 siblings.

There will be a celebration of life in the spring.
