IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Reva M.
Howell
May 9, 1933 – February 5, 2026
Reva Mae Howell, loving mother, grandmother, and wife passed away on February 5, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was 92 years old.
Born on May 9, 1933, in Orangeville, Michigan to Lloyd and Gladys Denniston, she grew up with a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life and a spirit of service that would define her existence.
Known for her boundless kindness and selfless heart, Reva lived to serve others and the Lord. She was a humble woman, rarely seeking the spotlight, but always providing a warm, steady presence for her family. Whether she was tending to her garden beds, carefully sewing a new quilt, or whipping up a favorite family recipe, she did everything with love.
She found immense joy in traveling, exploring new places with her sisters, and capturing memories along the way. However, her greatest passion was her family—she adored her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren; nothing made her smile brighter than having them surrounding her.
A woman of remarkable talents, Reva had a passion for numbers, bringing order to her world through budgeting and meticulous bookkeeping. Her ability to balance the books was matched only by her ability to balance a busy life with unwavering grace.
She was a faithful servant who lived out her values daily, teaching her family the importance of kindness, integrity, and faith.
Reva is preceded in death by her husband Herb, parents, sister Carol (and children), and brother Duane.
Reva is survived by her loving family: sisters Esther Burd and Marilyn McEntyre, children; Teresa Norman, Kal Howell, Jo Ann (Raffee) Johns, Christine (Andy) Spencer, Melissa (Scott) Ernstes, nine grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
Visit with family and friends on Monday, February 9, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the AMS funeral home in Plainwell. A celebration of life will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the same location.
