Robert Maurice Graves III

November 30, 1982 — August 15, 2023

Benton Harbor

Robert Maurice Graves III passed away on August 15, 2023. He was born on November 30,
1982, to Robert Graves II and Donna (Pierce) Graves.

Robert is survived by his father and his stepfather: Joseph Medina; his children: Sage Graves,
Robert Graves IV, and Ramses Graves; his sister Rebecca (Matthew Kendall) Graves; his brother
Justin (Marissa) Graves and his nephews Gage Wilson and Carter Starling.

He is preceded in death by his mother Donna.

Robert was an Army veteran serving in Iraq. He loved adventure, and always had a sense of
wanderlust. He never met a stranger and could charm the toughest of personalities. He loved
Chicago sports and was a stellar basketball player. Robert was a self-taught guitar player and a
terrible dancer. He loved his friends as fiercely as brothers.  Robert was quick to laugh and had
a great sense of humor. He led life on his own terms without apology.

Following his wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will be holding a graveside service
at Camp Butler National Cemetery at a later date.
