Robert Cameron Snyder, Sr. passed away on Friday, December 10, 2021, which happened to be his son’s birthday, at the age of 83. He was born on August 25, 1938, in Royal Oak, MI the son of William Wilbur Snyder and Dawn Disney Snyder. Robert was a long-time member of Edwards Corner Bible Church and a former member of Westwood Baptist Church. He retired from General Motors after 35 years of service. He had graduated from GM’s Tool and Die Apprenticeship Program and was a Supervisor in the Tool and Die Department. Robert enjoyed his 33 years of retirement with his wife and his family living in Three Rivers part of the year and Weslaco, TX the rest of it. Robert leaves behind the love of his life, wife of 61 years, Donna Marie (Fleet) Snyder; daughter, Sharon (Chris) Nelson; grandchildren, Benjamin Hamilton of Seattle, Nathan (Julie) Hamilton of Parchment, Shannon Snyder of Milan, and Christopher Nelson of Vicksburg; great grandchildren, Cameron Snyder, Lily Hamilton, and Johnathan Hamilton; siblings, William Snyder, Bonnie (Larry) Damer, Barry (Judy) Snyder, Beverly (Ron) Sulak, Donald Snyder, Jack (Sharon) Snyder, and Jerry (Holly) Snyder; and many nieces and nephews. Robert is preceded in death by his son, Robert C. Snyder, Jr.; his parents, William and Dawn Snyder; and Betty Snyder and Harold Snyder. Cremation has taken place per Robert’s wishes and no services are planned at this time. While visiting Robert’s tribute page please take a moment to light a candle or share a memory with the family.
