In Loving Memory of Sandra Lee Akers Hoyt
September 13, 1941 – October 13, 2026
Sandra Lee Akers Hoyt, of Otsego, Michigan, passed away on October 13, 2026, at the age of 85.
Sandra was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose strength, humor, and love for her family made her a special part of the lives of those who knew her. She was a strong-willed woman with a funny personality and a loving heart. She had her own way of doing things, and her strength and spirit were part of what made her who she was.
Above all, Sandra was a wonderful mom and grandmother. Her family was an important part of her life, and some of her cherished moments were spent going on trips with her children, making memories together that would last a lifetime. She enjoyed crocheting and had a special love for her farm and animals, bringing together the simple pleasures and everyday moments that made life meaningful to her.
Sandra leaves behind a family who will forever cherish her memory and the love she gave throughout her life. Her legacy lives on through her four children, Ray (Sue) Hoyt, Daniel (Dawn) Hoyt, Peggy (Berry) Selby, DeShellie Hoyt-Fetterley, her sister-in-law Robin Akers and cherished cousin Daryl Fleser.
She was a proud grandmother to Daniel (Breille) Hoyt, Staci (Matt) Olsen, Ashlee (Brandon) Rose, Tyler (Angel) Selby, Charlie (Cass) Fetterley, and Jesse Hoyt-Fetterley, and a beloved great-grandmother to Dagen Hoyt, Afton Hoyt, Shiloh Hoyt, Remington Rose, Maverick Rose, Silas Fetterley, Lennon Fetterley, and Jesse Hoyt Fetterley Jr.
She was proceeded in death by her mother Mildred, father Jesse, her brothers Richard and Robert and her sister Francis as well as her dear cousin-in-law Jerrie Fleser.
Sandra's passing leaves a space in her family's hearts that can never truly be filled. Though she is no longer physically with those who love her, the memories she created, the laughter she shared, and the love she gave will continue to live on through the generations of her family.
She will be remembered for her loving heart, her humor, her strength, and the special place she held as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
Rest peacefully, Mom. Your love will remain with us, your memory will live on in our hearts, and you will always be a part of us.
