Scott Douglas Holtman

Scott Douglas Holtman, of Plainwell passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at the age of 60. He was surrounded by his wife and daughter by his side. Scott was born on September 14, 1963, in Kalamazoo. He was the son of John, Jr and Darla (Cowling) Holtman. 

Scott owned Holtman Concrete with his father from 1985 until 2009. Scott was a hardworking man. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to work with his hands. He enjoyed working with wood, and making furniture. And most of all making wood toy trains and cars. For his grandson Kaden, he made his favorite rocking horse.  Scott loved to hunt and fish and just be outdoors. 

Scott was a big family man. He loved spending time with family and friends. His proudest moment was when he became a father to his only child, a beautiful daughter Danielle. She was always his sunshine.

Scott will always be remembered and loved by his wife of 34 years, Trish (Townley) Holtman; his daughter: Danielle (Jacob) Wolthuis; and grandchild: Kaden; and his sibling: Patty (Tom) Reid. 

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother: Steve. 

Scott’s wishes were to be cremated and there will be a celebration of his life on January 14th, 2024. From 12-3pm at the Gun Plain Township Hall - 381 8th St, Plainwell, MI 49080.
