Shannon Kay Glascock

Shannon Kay Glascock, of Vicksburg passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at the age of 52. Shannon was born September 27, 1969 in Battle Creek, MI. She was the daughter of Jack and Diane (Scofield) Budrow. Shannon attended Schoolcraft Community Schools and graduated from Schoolcraft High School with the Class of 1987. After high school Shannon pursued her dreams and attended KVCC for a period of time and then Cosmetology and Beautician School. She married Charlie Glascock on October 16, 1993 and together had three children: Zach, Madison, and Christian. She was a salon owner at Salon Pura Vida in Portage for 10 years. Shannon’s entire world though was being surrounded by her family. She never missed one of their events. Christmas, Easter, and Birthdays were very special for her, and she always wanted to make sure the kids and later her granddaughter knew how important they were to her during those times. Even this past Christmas while not feeling well, she made sure to be in the room when the kids opened their gifts. Her hobbies included: shopping, crafting and watching the Cooking Channel. Her family will miss her amazing cooking.  Shannon’s family will remember her as being loving, strong, powerful, caring, brave and selfless.

Shannon is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Charlie; three children: Zach Glascock, of Lansing; Madison Glascock, of Lansing; Christian Glascock, of Grand Rapids; one granddaughter, Harper. She is also survived by her parents: Jack and Diane Budrow, of Kalamazoo; two sisters: Jenny (Steve) Huskey, of Bowling Green, KY; and Renae (Jason) Schug, of Schoolcraft.

A funeral will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 11am at the funeral home with Reverend Ed Schmidt officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 10am. Burial will be at the Schoolcraft Cemetery.
