Sharon Ann Zinser

Sharon Ann Zinser, passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at the age of 73. She was born on May 31, 1952, in the Detroit, MI area. She was the daughter of Edward and Gladys (Reynaud) Czech. She is remembered as a devoted wife, mother, and active community member whose warmth and generosity touched the hearts of many.

She graduated from Bishop Gallagher High School with the Class of 1970, managing to complete beautician school concurrently, earning her license in the profession. Her pursuit of learning continued as she later received an associate degree from Kalamazoo Valley Community College.

Sharon cherished the moments spent with her family, and her proudest accomplishments include nearly five decades of marriage to her husband Richard, whom she wed on October 2, 1976. Together, they built a loving home filled with compassion and laughter. She was also immensely proud of her three children: Julia, Christa, and Michael, and her seven grandchildren, who were a source of great joy in her life.

Throughout her life, Sharon prioritized her family above all. Her most cherished role was as a stay-at-home mother, a job she approached with unparalleled dedication. After her children grew older, Sharon ventured into the workforce, embarking on a part-time career in sales for women's apparel, where her natural ability to connect with people flourished.

Sharon's commitment to her community was evident through her numerous volunteer endeavors. Among her many contributions, she served as an usher at Miller Auditorium and was a proud member of the Lady's Library in Schoolcraft. Her passion for gardening led her to join the Petal Pushers Garden Club. She also lent her talents to enhance the beauty of the St. Martin of Tours Flower Garden alongside fellow parishioners, demonstrating her love for nature and community cohesion. She was a member of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church for the past 19 years.

Described by those who knew her as a wonderful person, Sharon was known for her ability to make friends wherever she went. Her generous spirit extended beyond her family, as she willingly shared her time and talents to assist those in need, leaving a lasting impression on all she encountered.

Her interests and hobbies reflected her vibrant personality; she enjoyed visiting art museums, knitting gloves and scarves, and crafting homemade cards, skills that brought joy to her family and friends. She especially enjoyed her hobby farm raising sheep and goats.

Sharon Ann Zinser leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering support for her family and community. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched, and her spirit will continue to inspire those who strive to emulate her generosity and warmth.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Edward and Gladys Czech; her mother- and father-in-law: Donald and Lucille Zinser; brother- and sister-in-law’s: Donald and Carole Zinser; and Leslie Komlosan, and several aunts and uncles.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years: Richard; three children: Julia (Kevin) Putman, of Kalamazoo; Christa Rustenholtz, of Kalamazoo; and Michael (Stephanie) Zinser, of WI; seven grandchildren: Nathan, Alex, Elizabeth, Zachary, Nickalas, Vincent, and Haley.

She is also survived by her siblings: David (Brenda) Czech, of Port Huron; Mary (Keith) Hipol, of WY; Chris (Josie) Czech, of Warren; Gladys (Pete) Racette, of CA; Sandy (Jay) Czech, of Shelby Twp; three brother- and sister-in-law’s: David (Patrica) Zinser, of Rochester Hills; MaryAnn Komlosan, of Harper Woods; and Ken (Kim) Zinser, of AZ; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 11am with Monsignor Thomas Martin officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 29th from 4 to 7pm, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Sharon will privately have internment at St. Edward’s Catholic Cemetery in Mendon, MI.
