Shirley Regina Strathern

Strathern, Shirley R. Union City Passed away Nov. 27, 2010 at Borgess Gardens. Shirley was born Aug. 18, 1930 in Waterville, Maine the daughter of Gabriel and Regina (Paulitte) Joseph. She graduated from Waterville High School in 1948 and from Boston Dental School in 1950. Attended Art Schools in Boston, worked as Dental Hygienist, worked as display artist in fashion and advertising. She married George Earl Strathern Jr. June 20, 1952 and he preceded her in death on June 5, 1993. Surviving are 2 sons; Gilbert Joseph (Bonnie) Strathern of Union City and Stanley Earl ( Hyonmi) Strathern of Delton, 3 grandchildren; Andrew Hoard, Lindsey Jo Strathern and Megan Young, 5 great grandchildren. At her request cremation has taken place. Burial of cremains will take place at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. There will be no services at this time.
