Stacee Lynn Mattimore (née Jacobsen), age 65, passed away on June 15, 2025, in Mattawan, Michigan. Born on May 10, 1960, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Stacee lived a life marked by strength, passion, and deep love for her family.

A proud graduate of Plainwell High School's Class of 1978, Stacee pursued a higher education with determination and purpose. She earned her associate degree from Kalamazoo Valley Community College and went on to complete her bachelor's degree at Western Michigan University, Double majoring in Criminal Justice and Psychology. Her commitment to learning reflected the same hardworking spirit that defined so many aspects of her life.

Stacee was a devoted mother and grandmother whose presence brought warmth and laughter to those around her. She is survived by her four children: Benjamin Mattimore of Kalamazoo; Molly Monroe and her husband Mason of Mattawan; Casey Mattimore and his wife Terika of Decatur, Indiana; and Monica Mattimore of Kalamazoo. She also leaves behind two beloved grandchildren, Cohen Hayes and Cooper Eugene, who brought immense joy to her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Myrna Jacobsen (Johnson); grandparents Everett and Jennie Johnson (Lahndorf), Olive Mulligan (Burnett), and Harold Jacobsen. Stacee was also proceeded in death by the father of her children and ex-husband Mark Mattimore. Their memories remained close to Stacee's heart throughout her life.

Stacee had a deep appreciation for history and beauty, which she expressed through her passion for collecting antiques—especially glass baby bottles. Her collection grew to include over 400 unique pieces, each one a testament to her keen eye and enduring curiosity. Whether discovering treasures in antique shops or receiving thoughtful additions from her children, this hobby brought her great joy.

More than anything else, Stacee cherished time spent with her children and grandchildren. Whether browsing antique stores together or simply enjoying each other's company on an ordinary day, these moments were the ones she held most dear.

Those who knew Stacee will remember her as strong-willed and loving—a woman whose smile could light up any room and whose wicked sense of humor never failed to bring laughter. Her unwavering dedication to family made her an extraordinary mother and grandmother- The world is undoubtedly dimmer without her radiant presence.
