Terry Reminga

Terry James Reminga of Vicksburg, MI, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at the age of 72. Born in Jackson, MI, on November 4, 1951, to Robert and Marie (Naujalis) Reminga, Terry lived a life filled with passion, dedication, and joy, leaving an indelible mark on everyone who knew him.

Terry graduated from Ottawa Hills High School in 1969 before pursuing his love of business at Western Michigan University, where he earned his Bachelor’s in Business Administration in 1973. His entrepreneurial spirit blossomed early, leading him to found European Import Services in 1974, where he proudly served the Kalamazoo community for over 40 years. Known for his expertise and integrity, Terry became a trusted figure in the automotive world and a beloved friend to many in the industry.

On November 27, 1977, Terry married the love of his life, Bonnie Holden, with whom he built a wonderful family. Together, they raised two children, Sean (Margaret) and René (Chris), and were blessed with five grandchildren: Callie, Lucas, Isabelle, Madeline, and Alexander. Family meant everything to Terry, and he poured his heart into creating memories and traditions they would cherish forever.

Terry was happiest in the great outdoors, whether he was camping, fishing, boating, water-skiing, or snow-skiing. His love for nature was paralleled only by his passion for cars; an avid enthusiast and collector, he found joy both in the mechanics and beauty of the vehicles he so admired. As an Eagle Scout, he instilled in his children and grandchildren values of perseverance, resourcefulness, and kindness.

A master in the kitchen, Terry loved to cook and entertain, bringing friends and family together with his humor, warmth, and incredible meals. His generosity and joy for life made him a pillar in his family and community.

Terry is preceded in death by his father, Robert; mother, Marie; sister, Lois (Jim); and stepmother, Margaret.

Left to cherish his loving memory is his devoted wife, Bonnie; children, Sean (Margaret) and René (Chris); cherished grandchildren, Callie, Lucas, Isabelle, Madeline, and Alexander; brothers, Richard (Sue) and Carl (Elena); sister, Candice (Bruce); and many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

Terry’s legacy will live on in the lives he touched and the love he shared. His memory will forever be a reminder of a life well-lived and deeply loved.
