Trenton Hilbrock Stermer, 33, of Kalamazoo, passed away on May 14, 2026.
Born on February 16, 1993, Trenton was known for his adventurous spirit, generous heart, and deeply unique personality. He believed in living life his own way and never hesitated to follow his own path. Whether through his love of travel, snowboarding, music, festivals, healthy eating, or holistic health, Trenton embraced life with curiosity, passion, and individuality.
Above all else, Trenton was a devoted father to his daughter, Alora. She was the center of his world, and he always wanted the very best for her. He dreamed of giving her a happy, meaningful life filled with love, opportunity, and strong family connections. Trenton cared deeply about bringing family together and creating moments where the people he loved could laugh, share meals, and enjoy each other’s company. He especially loved taking friends and family out to dinner, making memories that will now be cherished forever.
Trenton also shared a special bond with his beloved dog, Gemma, who brought him constant companionship and joy. He had a strong and loving connection with his brothers, Trevor and Cory, and treasured the bond they shared throughout his life. The love he gave to his family reflected the caring and loyal person he was.
He was preceded in death by his father, Todd Joseph Stermer, and many find comfort in knowing they are reunited once again.
Visitation services will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a service at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 22, 2026, at the funeral home. Burial services will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. at City of Portage South Cemetery.
In honor of Trenton’s love for his daughter, donations will be established to support Alora’s future. Please make any checks payable to Trevor Stermer.
He will be deeply missed and forever loved by his daughter, family, friends, and all who knew him.
