Vera Mae Milbocker

Vera Mae Milbocker, 95 of Allegan, passed away on December 23rd with family by her side.

She was born on January 5, 1926 the daughter of Flloyd and Viola Puckett. On July 28, 1951 she married the love of her life Alonzo “Bones” Melvin. Together they had three sons, Mike ( Barb) Melvin, Steven ( Kathleen) Melvin and Jeffery (Darla) Melvin. She has six grandchildren, Scott (Kim) Melvin, Shawn Melvin, Julie (David) Curry, Sara (Joe) Clawson, Ashley (Mike) Powers, Allison (Dave) Smith and also eight great-grandchildren, who all will miss her dearly.
Vera worked at the Allegan General Hospital for over 20 years, which she was very proud of. In November of 2000 she married Bernard “Buster” Milbocker and added four more stepchildren to her family which include Steven (Robin) Milbocker, Kathy (Randy) DeMann, Susan (Garth) Maurer, and Scott (Peggy) Milbocker. They enjoyed traveling, playing cards and each other’s company.
