Virginia Shaw

Passed away on March 23,2022 at Maple Lake Assisted Living in Paw Paw, MI.  Virginia was born in Muskegon MI on January 27, 1927, the 8^th child of Frank and Mary Cady.  Her mother passed away days after her birth and she was then adopted and raised by her aunt and uncle, Merritt and Josie Baxter.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Eldyn Shaw; son Ronald Shaw; daughter-in-law Jackie Shaw; and her siblings.  Surviving is her family; Keith (Cheryl) Shaw, Gordon (Tamara) Shaw, Donald (Jill) Shaw; and daughter-in-law, Brenda Shaw; 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.  Virginia was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking/baking (famous for her sugar cookies), traveling and camping with Eldyn and friends, playing games, hunting mushrooms and John Wayne movies. She supported her sons and grandsons in their athletic events.  She was active on Facebook and could text with the best of them.  Virginia will always be known for her quick wit and great humor.  Friends may visit with the family for a celebration of the life of Virginia on Saturday, April 30^th, visitation beginning at 11:00 am at the Gobles United Methodist Church, 210 East Exchange Street, Gobles. The service will commence at 12:00 pm and will be followed by a luncheon.  Memorials may be directed to Centrica Care Navigators (hospice).
