On Tuesday, April 9, 2024 William Allan Kuhlman tragically passed away at home in a house fire. William was born in Springfield, IL on April 14, 1975, the son of JoAnn (Kuhlman) Holmes.
William never knew a stranger, he would talk to anyone and if you liked to talk about sport, any sport, you had a friend for life. William loved to sing to the radio but couldn’t hold a tune. If Total Eclipse of the Heart or any song from Guns & Roses came on he would be belting it out.
William worked at American Axle Manufacturing in Three Rivers, MI in materials as a tugger where he had many friends.
In mid 2015, William met Heather online and they instantly clicked. William came down to visit her from Springfield in October and it was love at first sight and on December 26 he proposed and she said “Yes”. They were married on June 4, 2016 at Prairie View Park.
William enjoyed watching any sports that were on and really enjoyed watching them no matter who won. His favorite teams were the St. Louis Blues when watching hockey, St. Louis Cardinals for baseball, Boston Celtics for basketball and the Chicago Bears during football season.
William loved to take Heather to watch productions at the Civic Theatre or Miller Auditorium. They enjoyed taking strolls together through Prairie View Park. He also loved showing her everything that was in Springfield, IL, anything related to President Lincoln, Salem, museums and parks.
William is preceded in his passing by his mother. Left to cherish William’s loving memory is his wife: Heather (Delaney) Kuhlman.
William was a devoted and loving husband to Heather and a wonderful son to JoAnn.
