William “Bill” Charles Snook, age 86, of Kalamazoo, Michigan was called to heaven by his Lord and Savior on Friday, August 14, 2026, after a valiant fight with brain cancer.
He was born on September 26, 1939, in Shelbyville, Michigan, the son of William D. and Crystal (Doxey) Snook.
Bill will be remembered as a dedicated husband, devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He and the love of his life, LaVonne “Bonnie” (Zeinstra) Snook, shared sixty-eight years of marriage and built a life filled with faith, family, and countless cherished memories.
Bill graduated from Martin High School in 1957. He spent years working as a draftsman in Kalamazoo and retired from Walker Parking Consultants.
Outside of his work, Bill was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions, attending sporting events of all kinds for his kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids and playing golf.
Together, Bill and Bonnie spent countless hours tending to their gardens. Their shared love of gardening was another reflection of the life they built together.
Most importantly, Bill was loyal and faithful to his church, East Martin Christian Reformed Church, and its members. His faith was the foundation of his life. Over the years, he served as a deacon, elder, and Sunday school teacher.
Bill is survived by his wife, Bonnie, and their four children, Kim (John) Brussee, Kathy (Doug) Kammeraad, Steve (Teresa) Snook, and Kristy (Seth) Watson; seven grandchildren and their spouses, and seven great-grandchildren.
In accordance with the family's wishes, cremation has taken place and a public service will be held at the East Martin Christian Reformed Church, 1782 5th St, Martin, MI 49070, on Thursday, August 27, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. Bill’s earthly remains will be laid to rest at East Martin Cemetery during a private committal service.
